At the consulate it is
possible to submit requests for documentation from the registry o population in
Israel. The certificates are issued in Israel and sent to the consulate. The procced
of ordering documentation might take a few weeks.
The following is a
list of the documentation that can be ordered through the consulate:
- Abstract from the population’s
registry (among other things, this document indicates on marital status –
‘single’ or ‘married’)
- Extended Abstract from the population’s
registry (among other things, this document includes address, previous
name changes, children, spouses)
- Birth certificate in Hebrew
and/or English (Only for Israeli citizens who were born in Israel)
- Affirmation of Birth in Israel
– Replication of Notice of Live Birth (for foreign citizens who were born
in Israel)
- Death Certificate (for citizens
who passed in Israel).
- Clarification of details about
a passenger - arrivals and departures from Israel (shows entry and exit
dates from The State of Israel)
- Certificate attesting to
Israeli citizenship or non-citizenship- can be submitted only in
an appointment in the consulate.
- Criminal Information
Certificate from the Israeli Police
- Certificate that indicates on a
name change.
- This service can be
done through the email/ post service.
- All certificates are
in Hebrew except the Birth certificate which can be issued in both Hebrew and
English (must be requested specifically)
- An apostille can be
requested on a certificate (a fee will be required)
- A citizen can request
a certificate for themselves and their minor children. For information
regarding ordering a document for another person, please refer to the

Required documentation for submitting a
request:
- A scan the Applicant’s Israeli
passport of
- The specific request form for
the certificate, filled and signed
- If an apostille stamp is
required on the certificate, it needs to be indicated in the request. A fee
is required through a bank transfer to the embassy’s bank account number

The request for a certificate
can be submitted in one of this three ways:
1. An appointment in the consulate-
appointment are set by email or phone. The required documents will be submitted
at the appointment.
2.
By email- sending all the required document to

Please note that the certificates are issued in Israel and sent
to the consulate. The time estimated to complete the procced is month- two months.
The process time for citizenship/ non-citizenship certificate takes longer).
As the certificate arrives to the consulate it can be collected
from the consulate or sent by post (with additional fee).
** a birth certificate is the only certificate that can be
issued also in English.
Criminal record certificate for Israeli police:
It is possible to submit the request for the criminal record
certificate through the Israeli police website of through the embassy (in an appointment,
mail or post service).
The certificate is handed to the requesting organization and
cannot be handed to the Israeli citizen.
